The Debate Club is open to all who wish to join and receive additional speech credit. The main aim of the class is to give students a chance to develop their speaking ability before a group, both in formal debating and in individual events such as dramatic and poetry reading. The club has participated in debates at Kansas State Teachers College, Manhattan; University of Wichita; Southwestern College at Winfield; Pittsburg, McPherson, Bethel, and the Kansas Junior College Festival at El Dorado. ■lb

One of the most active E.J.C. organizations in several years developed this year under the title, E.J.C. Players, under the direction of Darryl Patten. Upon completing required participation in the theatrical field, the players be- come members of Pi Delta Theta, a local drama fraternity, and all members are free to meet qualifications of Delta Psi Omega, a national fraternity. An active year included a trip to the K.U. production of Paint Your Wagon, participation of members in the local Little Theater Production of Ten Little Indians, and winning first prize in the Juco Appreciation Day Parade of floats. 24
