Keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. The present term has been the most successful and the most profitable in the history ot' the Junior Civic Club ol' Business High School. THE H1 Y The Hi Y is an organization composed ot selected boys whose purpose is: To create, maintain and extend throughout their school and community high stand- ards ol' Christian character : to make themselves 'better men, physically, men- tally and morallyg to remove all comou- lflage and hypocrisy from their minds and souls, to help the world about them, and to secure honest and high standards ot scholarship. iVe believe that the power which brought us to earth has assigned us a definite task and that it is our duty to educate ourselves to this task. iVe believe that hard work is the only thing that ever produced worth- while goods and pays worthwhile divi- dends. The Hi Y has endeavored to assist the boys ot' this school who are behind in their work by forming a Help Com- mittee. This club is a strong advocate ot clean scholarship and clean sports. Recently it held an Honor XVeek and had all the students who believed in clean scholarship sign pledge cards. Plans are being made to entertain the Soccer Team sometime this semester. Every Thursday the members meet at the Central Y. M. C. A. with the lli Y Clubs ot' Fifth Avenue, liiverside, and the Ralston High Schools.
