I . A.kn......L-, ANNE SCHINKEL Anne is a short and sweet name tor a girl ot iust that descrip- tion. Who could imagine Anne with a frown on her beaming countenance? A happy-go-lucky girl is she. who is always tinding a humorous angle to any situation. She has gained membership to the P. E. C. and has gone out tor the G. A. A. Her pet hobbies are ice skating. swimming. and playing tennis. Her favo- rite topic ot conversation is her latest beau. Lunch is the period she likes best-she goes home then. My. how she loves her Alma Materl MILDRED SCHLAK Mildred is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. In school, however. the helping jiand takes the torm of homework and there are many who need it. Mildred is very etli- cient and capable in everything she undertakes. She does not say much, but when she opens her mouth. pearls ot wisdom pour torth. She has been secretary to Mr. Freilich. Mr. Friedman and Mr..Primott. Always a good sport. that's Mildred. She's no wall- tlower either. being quite popular among her own set. GERTRUDE SCHLOSSER We don't know what to call her. but she's mighty like a rose. Just a modern girl whosmaneged to maintain an old-tashioned blush. Gertrude's very modest about her abilities. too. She's a very clever girl. She won't admit it, but we know it. She intends to go to City College at night and be a bookkeeper during the day. She isn't satisfied with being a bookkeeper, she wants to be an accountant. Gertrude is a homework headquarters. There's many a student who's gotten a ten tor'Gertie's answers. Our bookkeeper doesn't know whether to put this down as an asset or Liability. but we guess it's an asset because C-Bertie has loads of riends. HELEN SCHMID Guaranteed to laugh your blues away. She must have been born with a grin on her tace because it's been there ever since. As a secretary. her abilities are unexcelled. Helen has served Miss Thompson in that capacity. and has rightfully earned an excellent recommendation. Among the many clubs which had the honor ot her membership is the Sten Club. Being one ot those tew people gifted with the power ot extracting money trom people. she was Bulletin and Oriole and G. O. Rep. a number ot times. These are only a tew ot the numerous services Helen has contributed to the school and to her classmates throughout her high school career. BEATRICE SCHNEPS Here we have our own little Beadie. Although she is small and petite. she has a great deal ot knowledge in that little head ot hers. She is a student who has exerted her best ettorts and has succeeded in receiving high marks, but has not been favored by a much-deserved election into our Arista. We predict a bright and successful career tor her in her tuture education. .lifff-ef. .s 1555: Q 5 , .,... .
