When we sat down to write in the memory books of our friends, memories of our four short years in high school came to mind. The home- coming float in our freshmen year that almost won, the Christmas play we initiated in our sophomore year, the junior play, and the prestige and honor we enjoyed in our senior year, plus many others were recalled. As seniors, the realization of our future responsibilities became clear to us. Often we were asked, Have you decided definitely what you are going to do next year? When questions like these were raised, every senior lent an interested ear. The future seemed distant in September, but when May rolled around, taking scholarships tests, interviewing for jobs, writing applications for college admissions, and making plans for summer employment made us realize as never before that the opportunities lVfifi'1g fwsfalgic bits of poetry or prose in classmates 'memory books was a major occupation of the seniors during the last few days of school. and responsibilities of adulthood were upon us.
