Sophomores- freshmen, one year removed-gloctt over the ludricrous and belittling activities assigned to the new members of our high school. Fresh- men approach the day's activties with both anticipation and apprehension. Usually, how- ever, they find the paddling reserved for boys and the feeding of cat eyes, worms, and other unappetizing morsels not quite so bad as the senior propagandists have publicized them to and eemafze 60W6dC4!ZQ eaya be This year s initiation fulfilled all expecta tions All freshmen girl were required to dress al1ke 1n full skirts and blou s worn backwards The freshmen boys dressed jeans with one leg rolled above the kn e shirts with green ties and gre n b anles The seniors saw to 1t that the traditional rites of kneeling feeding and paddling wer car- ried out. In the afternoon the freshmen entertained the student body with acts and skits, long to be remembered. Who could forget, for instance, Kathleen Murphy, Marilyn Doll, Harriet Henderson, and Pat Scholes in their rendition of lack Parr Show? To top the day's activities, the seniors entertained the freshmen at a hop. Our 1959 Initiation was a zany, fun-filled day.
