74a 369 Dance Our annual Homecoming Dance was sponsored by the seniors, and since the game had ended so successfully, there was a huge crowd waiting to see the Queen crowned. Speed Roberts set the atmosphere with his dreamy music, and all my friends certainly took advantage of it! The autumn decorations of brown and green crepe paper and real leaves were beautiful. When the long intermis- sion finally arrived, I had to race to the bookshelves to keep from being trampled by the crowd as the dancers formed the line leading from the study hall door to the queen's throne. It wasn't long until the door was opened, and everyone saw that Rosie Cassell had been elected this year's Queen. Ethel Hobbs, Sandra Faul- haber, Helen Dollarhide, and Mona Lou Kukuk were her attendants.
