A brand-new organization, the Rod and Gun Club, was inaugurated in l3.P.C. High School this year. Its purpose is to promote good sportsmanship and better hunters and fishermen among the students. The club planned some outdoor trips in the spring. The twenty-six members of the club elected Bill Vail, presidentg Leland Howe, vice pres- iedntg and Joanne Harper, secretary and treasurer. Mr. Melody and Mr. Johnson were the sponsors. As audio-visual education is very im- portant in today's educational system, it becomes a necessity to have trained students available to aid in running the motion pic- ture machine. Many ol' the teachers have learned to operate the projector, but there are a few who would rather have a student do this for them. Operating the projector is both a privilege the students enjoy and a means of developing reliability in those trust- ed with the equipment. Students who have learned the process ol' threading and operating the machine and, in some cases. repairing a broken reel are Leo llartlett, Ray litter, Bob llradlord, Ed- die Sammons, liill Vail, Duane Spangler. Kenny Vancil, and George Burton. Ei' PRUJEETIUNISTS x X. NIR. 62 NIRS. G. E. SH HRMAN Prairie fity
