hrough Students Isabella Czarnecki-Bush's A.F.S. Student Sisters for a year Isabella, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Christian, and Dell. I would like everybody to know that this year has really been wonderful. And the reason it has been so wonderful is everybody. Each one of you even without noticing it, has contributed to make me love every minute I spent in Seattle, and especially at Helen Bush. This by letting me know your families, by let- ting me lmow you, or simply by saying hi in the corridors. . . And I am very sad because I realize that I have to go and leave you. I hope Iwill see you again some day. Maybe in Paris. . .Maybe I shall come back. . . But it may so happen that we will never see one an- other againg so Iwant to tell you that Iwill always be thinking of you, because you have taught me the greatest lesson, FRIENDSHIP. Please write me at 45 Bld. Gouvion ST-CYR Paris I7e, France -Isabella A.F.S. Summer Program jane Katra lived with a German-speaking family on the shore of Lake Constance in Switzerland last summer. She attended school with her Swiss sister in St. Gallen and traveled throughout Switzerland and Germany with her family, but still found lots of time to eat chocolate and cheese and to hike in the beautiful Swiss Alps. The scenery was breath-taking, but far more important to me are the friends I' ll never forget. The things I learned about myself and the basic likenesses of people the world over are the most memorable aspects of my European summer.

Isabella has found varied interests here in skiing, sailing, drama, music, and especially in folk-singing. The AFS Committee was dinner host to Seattle area AFS students in October. The Experiment In International Living The Experiment in International Living is a cul- tural program open to Americans between the ages of sixteen and thirty. It offers students an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of peoples of the world. Live-in, travel, health and education programs similar to the Peace Corps are among the divisions of the Experiment in In- ternational Living. Cordy jenkins spent the summer of 1965 in Ger- many. After living with a German family for one month, she and her sister traveled throughout Germany with a group of American Experiment- ers. This experience gave me an opportunity to ex- tend myself beyond my own community and to establish a lasting bond with a foreign family.
