And he answered saying: Your friend is your needs answered. He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving. . . And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heartg For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expec- ta.tions are born and shared, with joy that is unacclaimed. When you part from your friend, you grieve notg p For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, a.s the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain. And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit. And let your best be for your friend. lf he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know its flood also .... And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sha.ring of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed -Kahlil Gibran 4 W , THE PLAQUE To be named the senior who exemplifies in action faithful and in honor clear is the greatest honor at our school. This year, Kitten Sheehan has been chosen by her faculty and school mates to receive this award. Kitten's blend of selflessness and self-awareness has enabled her to contribute her best efforts for the benefit of her class, her school, and her self. Kitten's warmth, imagination, humor, and diligence combine to make her a guide, a strength, and a joy to know. Livengood for her guidance and inspira- tion. We shall continue to strive for the goals she has helped us set. DOROTHY S. MILLER Last spring the new Wing of the school was dedicated to Mrs . Dorothy Miller. During her many years at Bush Mrs. Miller, our Drama teacher and Vice Principal, has amazed us all With her abundant enthusiasm. This feeling of vivacity is evident in the plays which have been presented by each class, and which have been great successes. The class of 1964 thanks Mrs. Miller for her great patience and especially for the vitality she has added to our years at Bush. 7 an .
