In their tJun1or year they did two things of note. o First they produced their class plag UA Girl, A Guy and a Gob.U Starring Pay Myers, 5pencer ichter, and Ben Texter. The play was directed bi Mrs. D. C. J1v1den,tme1r class advisor, and put on in the urton Auditorium on April 7, 1944. Second, on may 12, 194s they put on the annual Senior Prom in the Durton Auditorium. The audlto decorated in purple and gold colors and on one e huge banner which said Class of '44.H On the t Junior- rium was nd was a ables the place cards were in the shape of a scho1ar's cap and diploma and the memento was in the shape of a ship on which was printed NSa1ling Toward Successu the class motto. At seven, dinner was served by the girls who had prepared it with the help of some of their mothers. After dinner a magician entertainment, gt 9:30 dancing started. At one end auditorium there was a room where the dancers could play games as they choose. At midnight the prom and another senior class left school with a memory to look back upon. Shortly after school started in the fall of brand new Seniors sponsored a hayrlde. The plans f urnlshed of the loungeor was over pleasant 1945 the were all made, the day set and before they knew it the night of the hay ride was there. The only slip in the plans was that it was raining. Despite the rain the hay ride continued and was successfully ended with a weiner roast in Edward Paryzek's woods. On February 4, l945 the Seniors had a steak dinner at the Plttsburgher in Parkman. The dinner was well attended and every one enjoyed the steaks, french fried potatoes, salad, and the trimmings. On December the Juniors and Seniors put on a Holly Dance in the Burton Auditorium.
