Building the Stairway to Success Foreword With great pride and a sense of achievement on the part of the class of 1961, this annual is dedicated to the task of recording many treasured memories of high school years. We hope that in the future this annual will bring back memories of all your high school days- -memories filled with happiness and sorrow, ecstasy and depression, victory and defeat; memories of the morning devotions over the intercom; the band and chorus rehearsals; the patience of never-tiring teachers; the anxiety of receiving report cards; the crowded halls; the Wednesday morning assemblies; the lunch rush; football and basketball practice; pep rallies in the gym; sock hops; the Homecoming; the Junior and Senior plays; the ordering of rings and invitations; the Junior-Senior Prom; the graduation exercises.
