The first Raider touchdown came in the 1st period when Robinette scored on a 23 -yard pass from Good- pasture and ran 25 yards for the initial tally. Buren Bloomer intercepted a Garden pass on the Norton 37 and ran 63 yards for a touchdown. McConnell scored the extra point. Jerry Hall was the outstanding defensive player of the game. The Norton team played an outstanding defensive game, but the game turned out to be a heart - breaker when the Falcons finally managed to score in the closing seconds of the game.
