WE ' LL ALWAYS REMEMBER... Alfred Grump Lundquist Gone is the rough speaking, cigar smoking candy man. On October 20, 1974, we lost Grump Lundquist. Although he is gone, his memory will remain in our hearts forever. To adults Grump was the newspaperman and hotel manager, while to children he was the man behind the candy counter, ever-patient and always waiting with a smile. A y ' % Johnny Jenkins We lost John in a fatal automobile accident on June 11, 1974. John spent only one year in Burt Township School having moved from Newberry, Michigan with his parents John Shirley Jenkins, Sr. who purchased the Northern Resthome. John participated in school activities and was a member of the basketball team. Even though he is gone, his memory will always be with us. 1974 Graduation
