Armande...................and.................friend. Buddies for life. FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT Hi! I'm Si Ike Niekamp from West Germany. I came over to the U.S.A. as a YFU ex- change student last August 10th and I left on July 14th. Here in Burt I stayed with the Johnny Harms family on the farm. In Germany I live in Essen, the 5th biggest city on the country, in a suburban area. I have three older brothers, of which two are married, and two nephews. My mother is a housewife and my father is a rep- resentative for a book company. My school consists of about 1500-2000 students, sc it's been quite a change. My school activities here in Burt have been volleyball, basketball, track, speech, swing choir, vocal contest, and National Honor Society. In my spare time I like playing tennis, reading, swimming, doing crafts, and visiting friends. Thank you for all the friendship and help 1 received from everybody. I will sure keep this year with you in my memory and all the fun times we had together. Hope- fully you won't forget me either. Good luck to everybody in their futures and I hope to see you again. The show was originally produced in 1939, but we found the plot to be timeless. The cast was initiated into the ups and downs of show business throughout the rehearsal period, scheduling around basketball, snow stroms, electrical failures and Jon Miller's accident. We learned the show must go on. Jeff Riley's stand-in performance as Gus Barker was great. Tanmy Rasmussen was also ready to stand-in as Phyllis Owen just in case Laura Knoll didn't get back from Colorado in time. All we can say is this bunch of Babes in Arms really came through in the clinches. 62 Rachel Espe carries on while the apprentices work. Prom 1983 The Best Of Times Waiters and Waitresses.
