Cheerleaders Yel Leading the Bear cheering section in 1970 were four cheerleaders: Vicki, Cindi, Marilyn, and Donna. The mascot was Rachel Espe. Besides cheering at the games the cheer- leaders were in charge of making signs and planning the pep meetings. As an added project, they sold Bear pins to all the fans. The proceeds to go to a special fund for the purchase of new uniforms. Throughout the Junior High basketball season the cheerleaders, Lorelei, Linda, Cheryl, Janet, and Kim, supported the team with spirit and pep. 28
