The mem- bers of this group were: JoAnne Ackerman, Roberta Ackerman, Susan Bates, Donald Fraser, Henry Heiderscheidt, Arthur Jensen, Larry Johnson, Merideth Johnson, Margaret Kent, Beryl Kulman, Audrey Lappe, Floyd Lavrenz, Laywin Leek, John Lovstad, Susan Lovstad, Rosann Madsen, Susan May, Frances McDonald, Rebecca Meier, Janet Mitchell, Judith Mitchell, Darwin Nauman, Joyce Peter, Ruth Sherbonda, Larry Spade, Raymond Spry, Betsy Weber, Janet West, and Michael Woltz. During the first weeks of kindergarten, Mike Alford, William Hamilton, Nancy Ringsdorf, and Patricia Schwietert were added to the class. The following students left by the end of the first year: Mike Alford, Susan Bates, Donald Fraser, Arthur Jensen, Merideth Johnson, Henry Heiderscheidt, Beryl Kuhlman, Darwin Nauman, Nancy Ringsdorf, Ruth Sherbonda and Janet West. Four of the first graders were new members: Victor Anderson, Charles Drone, Bonnie Hoemke, and Delores Jenkins; Mrs. Margaret Palmer was the teacher. In the fall the class began second grade with Miss Eleanor Hasse as teacher, having lost Victor Anderson, Laywin Leek, and Larry Spade. John Kissner joined the class the second semester and Delores Jenkins moved away. At the close of the year, the class lost Roberta Ackerman, Charles Drone, and Bonnie Hoernke. With Miss Nancy Daughn as teacher, the third grade gained these new members: David Bunkofske, Marlys Curtis, Eugene Gardner, Jerry Gifford, David Harms, Linda Marlow, Nancy Presthus, Denise Reutzel, James Smith, and Julie Thompson. Betsy Weber moved away after eight weeks and the class was joined by Lois McFarland and Vinton Ellis. Vinton left during the second semester. The fourth grade was taught by Mrs. Myrle Dutton. Arthur Jensen rejoined the class but left ag in during the first semester; Rosann Madsen moved at the end of the semester. The class began fifth grade with Mrs. Neoma Thompson as instructor. Vernon Abbas, who started the year with the class, left during the first 6 weeks and Denise Reutzel moved at the end of the year. When the class entered junior high, Mrs. Bertha Newbrough and Mr. Larry tteckly were in- structors. Gerald Hilton enrolled at the beginning of the 8th grade, making a total of 27, and the class was taught by Mrs. Grace Anderson and Mr. David Brown. George Fahnstock joined the class but left during the second six weeks. Merideth Johnson joined the class the second semester but moved at the end of the year, as did Michael Woltz. The freshman year started with 26 members and Mr. Fred Hilton as sponsor. Carol Johnston joined the class shortly after school began, as did Mike Woltz. During the sophomore year, Mr. Lewis Finch was the sponsor. Arthur Jensen joined the class for the third time but left again after nine weeks. James Smith and Rebecca Meier dropped out during the junior year, and Carol Johnston at the end. Mrs. Janet Sowers and Mr. Phillip Swenson were the sponsors. With Mr. and Mrs. Harold Martin as their senior sponsors, the class started the year with a new member, Roger Batt.
