CLASS ::lSTORY In September 1929 this group of boys and girls started traveling through the grades to reach the coveted honor of Seniorship. The following six of our present class started the first year: Wendell Singsdorf, Torna Jean Rash, Robert Lovstad, Raymond Lavrenz, and Ardith Dettman. During the lirst eight years one of our menbers, Kenneth Trenary, dropped out. Kenneth joined us again in the seventh grade to continue with us to the end of our school career. Others joined our class during these eight years. They were Neva Sewick, and Merwyn John. Beginning our Freshman year several store students wre enrolled in oir class. The waitress and waiters at the Junior-Senior Banquet were irl Higgins, Neva Scwick, Ruth Olson, Norma Jean Rash, Robert Moore, Nende 1 ---r: sdorf, Robert Lovstad, Merwyn John. The class elected Norma Joan Rash ' °3r carnival queen. The class attended an all High School Halloween Tart; The high school baseball nine won the county championship from Wesley. Tbe boys went on to Webster City and lost in second round. Robert Moore and windy Ringsdorf were members of the team. The Girls Glet Club wont to tne st. to n— ic contest at Iowa City. The following girls participated: Virl June, neva, Noma Jean, and Ruth, The Baseball team won the west half of tl county t ur- nment and went to Swalednlc. Windy end Godfroson were on that tea.-. The - id won the sub district at Burt and went or. to Britt. The -following -ere - of the Band: Vivian, Ruth, Gerald, Windy, and Aridth. We opened our Sophnore year by attending a picnic at the c H p r- • i- Girls Glee Club won sub district at Burt and went on to the district at D le Grove. Mary Lee Wolf and Oliver and Margaret Plumb joined the class t txo beginning of the year. Robert Moore moved this year to Wesley, -vwlenc nelson and Viola Serdahl joined our class at the first of the year. Alvin Godruson, Doris Momess, Iva Mario Bnayton dropped out this year. The class attended a party given by the seniors. A

AS a Junior Class, we presented The Hutt Family and the following were in the cast: Kenneth Trenary, Viola Serdahl, Virl Higgins, Gerald Soderherg, Alvin Godreson, Mary Lee Wolf, ITorna Jean Hash, Beverly.Van Steenberg, Ardith Dettman, Raymond Lavrens, Neva Scwick, Vivian Valentiae, r.uth Ols n. hoys glee club won the District Music Contest and went to the State contest at Storm Lake. The following participated: Windy, Alvin, Wayne, Oliver, Law- erence, Kerwyn. In our Senior year the CIeiss was entertained by the Juniors at a party at the school house. The Mixed Chorus, Boys Glee Club, Harm Jean, contrait' solo and Madrigal group went to the state music contest at Wavorly. Jar.o was presented as the Class play on April 24 and 25. The Jr. Sr. Banquet held on April 16. Page 30
