W.,-ws www- 1, - ' ' m' Future Teachers Club Part of the activities this year for the Future Teachers has included The Literary Club Richard Solomon, Joel Nathanson, Darrell Smith, Kristine Becker, Dave Goode, janet Grindrod, john Snyder jr. , Fred Salamone, Babette Holland. The Expression Club sponsored by Miss Gartig describes itself as the Do your own thing . This extracurricular human- ities club revolves upon student involvement and choice. This year the members of the club have decided to express themselves by enjoying after school trips to places of mutual interest. The highlights of this year's agenda have in- cluded the following: two Broadway theater parties to see 1776 and THE ME NOBODY KNOWS5 an American heritage trip to the Old Bethpage Village Restorationg and a day of sun and fun at Rye Playland. At the weekly Wednesday meetings, the students have challenged each other by gathering information about places of interest, by debating about what to do and where to go, and by the actual planning for each trip. 61 tutoring students who request aid.

W1qs'qz.J f ' ' - ' 'YV The Environmental Committee The Environmental Committee has been hard at work this year. They have participated in a clean-up program for Smith Park in Yonkers. As the Year- book goes to press, the organization is sponsoring an Aluminum Can Drive. To further increase their knowledge, the club attended a special lecture and demonstration on environment at Mercy College. Dance Committee minima Q H The Dance Committee sponsors all school dances. They make all arrange- ments. They sell tickets and assist at the dance collecting tickets and sell- ing soda. The results of their labors were the November 13, 1970 dance and the Victory dance on February 26th. 63
