AWAHII Best Citizen Patricia Lee Helm of North Smithfield, Was chosen by seniors and faculty as best citizen of the Class of 195 5 for the annual Daughters of the American Revolution Pilgrimage. She 'will receive a certificate and pin for this distinction. She, with 26 other D.A.R. winners from each high school in Rhode Island, was honored at a luncheon held March 24, at the Narragansett Hotel. CLASS HISTIIHY One crisp, sunny morn early in September, 1951, 140 freshmen, be- witched by teachers, bothered by homework, and bewildered by bells, entered into these hallowed halls of learning. We immediately elected Raymond Zifcak-president, Anne Mary Boylan-vice-president, Fred- eric Ford-secretary, and Arnold Bailey-treasurer. Our class advisor was Miss Ruth Gonyor. Guiding us in our sophomore year were Arnold Bailey-president, Paul Brissette - vice-president, Barbara Herzog - secretary, Robert Mooney-treasurer. Carol Pytell and Patricia McCabe were representa- tives at the United Nations Conference held at Harvard University. Upper Classmen At Last! ! ! Junior Class officers: Robert O'Donnell-president, Eugene Brown - vice-president, Janice Carlton -- secretary, and Joyce Russell - treasurer. Linda Chisholm, Patricia McCabe, and Betty Porter were rep- resentatives at Girl,s State. Members of the National Athletic Society were: Arnold Bailey, Sylvester Clegg, Marcel Keable, Matthew Misias- zek, Robert O'Donnell, and Raymond Zifcak. Raymond Zifcak made All State second team. Hurrah! - Seniors! ! In the driver's seat on the last days of our journey was president- Frederic Ford, assisted by Patricia Helm - vice-president, Anne Mary Boylan-secretary, and Marcel Keable-treasurer. Our activities includ- ed-Freshmen Get Acquainted Dance, Dorothy Daigneault, chairman,- Winter Wonderland, QPromJ ,Joyce Russell, chairman,-two food sales chairmen, Barbara Hopkins and Dorothy Daignaultg--bracelet commit- tee, Ann Fagan, chairman. Our theme at Graduation was medicine and Patricia Helm and Betty Porter were valedictorian and salutatorian re- spectively. Page Thirty-two
