Under direction of Coach Pat Flaherty, the girls attempted to break a two-year losing streak. Unfortunately, their spirit and enthusiasm were not enough to propel them into the winner's circle. However, they counteracted their defeats with confident smiles and heads held high. Team captains, Shan Leslie and Christy Harris, each had a superb season with individual scoring highs. DIVERS. M. Yohe, S. Fasinger A group of eleven men, donning bikini bathing suits, pulled together this year to form an impressive team. This group was able to obtain outstanding results in their meets while still having fun at practices. School swimming teacher, Ken Virostek, doubled as swim coach for a second straight year. Co-captains Jay Piernik and Greg Ludwiczak held a major role in leading the team. Greg, along with sophomore Tony Sharkins, qualified for the WPIAL meet held at the University of Pittsburgh.
