Mary Jo Klimkowski Kim Takosky Sue Storrick The Burrell Majorettes, under the watchful eyes of Mr. Lagoon danced their hearts away again this year to “Tell Her About It” by Billy Joel. Debbie Wygonik, head majorette, and Lynne Clearfield, co-head, along with the other majorettes, grabbed their hats and canes for “Puttin’ on the Ritz.” Their halftime routines showed how they can entertain us and make us feel proud of our school. Pe Sovees 44 — - James Lagoon Jr. and Richard Farinelli again directed Burrell’s march- ing band this year. The band showed their ability to play the blues in “The Birth of the Blues” and “Blues in the Night” as their opening number. The rest of the show was filled with color- ful renditions of ‘Puttin’ on the Ritz” and “Lullaby of Broadway.” They also performed the hit songs ‘'Tell Her Qin BS ae About It” and “She Works Hard For The Money.” They performed in the Kennywood, Halloween and Burrell’s Sil- ver Jubilee parades and rounded out the year representing our school in the Alle-Kiski Marching Band Festival at Kiski with their usual outstanding per- formance. 1 year's band president was Mike Marra and vice-president was Joey Tomayko.
