This year the Lady Bucs have an assistant coach, Dawna Johns. The team captain is Linda Lawson, co-captains are Sue Van Norman and Jamie Johnston. Starters for this year are Linda Lawson, a senior. Co-Captain Jamie Johnston Captain Linda Lawson Co-Captain Sue Van Norman Dana Rupert Dawna Johns is returning to girl’s basket- ball after an active college career at Kent State University. The plaque on the wall in our gymnasium reads “Section V WPIALS Girls Champions 14-0,” That was in Dawna’s senior year. She amassed 1123 points in her high school career and led Burrell to the State PIAA playoffs in the 79-80 season with a 22-4 record. Welcome home, Dawna, and good luck as a coach. SPORTS 143
