Home Economics and Industrial Arts Provide The Home Economics Department develops the basic skills needed for the proper care ofthe home. In addition to the courses in Introductory Foods, Advanced Foods, Introductory Clothing, Creative Clothing, and Boy's Homemak- ing, two new courses, Home 81 Family Living and Child Development, are now available. As in all the courses taught at Burrell, Home Economics students are given practical instruction and training for the future. Students express their creativity in Wood Shop 2L, rsss A , ,,,,.,.........s, Mr. Joseph Yedlowski and Mr. Kenneth Cyphert. The aim of the Industrial Arts program is to delve into a particular area of study- mechanical drawing, wood shop, metal shop, or electric shop-and provide train- ing to aid interested, mechanically minded students. Although these courses consist of mostly boys, girls are encouraged to study these courses if they so desire.
