The Mathematics Department prepares students for many jobs in fields such as engineering, architecture, and the ever-expanding computer industry. The General Math course provides an overall understanding of basic mathematics. Other courses include Algebra I and ll, Geom- etry, and Advanced Algebra 84 Trigonometry. The Fifth Year Math course lMathematicaI Analysis Honorsl goes even deeper into the subject of Math and prepares the student for higher math such as Calculus. Miss Lege explains the fundamentals of Trigonometry. Beth Parks consults Mr, Matisko on a math problem.

a Wide Varielg of Skills Although the main purpose of the business department is to enable students to obtain business positions upon leaving school, a number of these courses can help all students gain practical knowledge which can be utilized in virtually any pro- fession, such as typing and shorthand. There are three separate divisions in the business course: clerical, bookkeeping, and secretarial. Students are placed in these areas according to individual ability and any student in the school may take any business course which suits his needs. fri 51 ...
