These ladies are very efficient and are helpful to both faculty and students. ln the library, Mrs. Karsten and Mrs. Kowalik are always ready to lend their services. The many resources, including books, periodicals, and microfilm, pro- vide each student with the opportunity to study any area of interest in depth.

Moses Mr, John L, George Senior High SCl100l Principal Assistant Senior High School Principal Burrell High School's principal is Mr. Albert G. lVloses. The principal's task is of primary importance to the functioning of a ' N a high school. lVlr. Nloses' duties consist of hiring personnel, observ- , ' ing classes, and directing the Senior High as a whole. It is his duty to see that Bu rrell's present standards are maintained and improved upon. As Assistant Principal, Nlr. Geroge's job is one which covers the entire scope of student life at Burrell. His duties range from activities li.e. assemblies, clubs, etc.l to attendance and behavioral problems. Sewing in a recently instituted post, lVlr. Haser is the Athletic Director for the Burrell School District. Some of his many duties include booking all sports schedules, hiring all officials, referees, etc., providing bus transportation to and from the games, prepar- ing the season budgets for all sports, and purchasing and manag- ing all the athletic equipment. Important Personnel Provide Much Mr. William Hajel Guidance Director The Guidance Department is an indis' pensible one at any school, and Burrell is no exception. Aside from aiding students in getting jobs, planning for future educa- tion, and administering necessary tests, the counselors' job is also one of giving advice to the student. This year, Burrell's guidance department began a unique pro- gram to help influence non-college bound students toward vocational training as a possible choice after completing high school. The school nurse's job is to maintain high health standards among all the stu- dents at Burrell. The enormous task of keeping individualized health records of each student is also essential. Annual see- ing and hearing tests are administered along with a heightfweight check.
