Practical Skills Offered at Burrell Distributive Education Distributive Ed. is an important program of study in which the students learn about business in and out ofthe classroom. During this two year program the students work half a day while the other half consists of learning the fol- lowing required subjects: Marketing and Sales, Merchan- dising and Business Principles, and Business English. Occupational Education The department of occupational ed. prepares students for a life in the outside world by placing them in responsi- ble jobs. Along with this on-the-job training the students are also required to have classroom instruction on certain academic subjects. Drivers Education Drivers Ed. gives the student a good background in op- erating an automobile and an understanding of thc laws and regulations concerning driving. Department is to guide students in swimming, gymnastics, and team sports for their physical development and enjoyment. Gymnastic teachers also conduct health classes to promote knowledge of physical well-being. Students also are involved in intramural basketball, vol- leyball, and football.
