Halloween On the last day of October a few brave students, caught up in the spirit of Halloween, came to school disguised, costumed, masked, or cloaked. For one day out of the year they were able to act like complete lunatics, which is not at all uncommon, but for that one special Monday there was a legitimate reason for it. All they had to say was “I am just playing my character.” (It may have been the only time we were able to see their true natures.) Unfortunately there were fewer brave people this year than in recent years and they often found themselves the only one in the room dressed for Halloween. But those few carried the spirit and the craziness for the rest of the school. 30
