Skye Farm On a Wednesday afternoon early in September, students and faculty members gather in fromt of the high school, arms laden with sleeping bags, suitcases, and bags of Doritos. They load up several cars and head north for an overnignt trip to Skye Farm Lodge, near Warrensberg. Learning, planning, laughing, and sharing are all a part of Skye Farm, an annual workshop for student representatives and faculty advisors of the student government, the three classes, and the various clubs in our school. Participants learn leadership skills, brainstorm ideas for improvement of school activities, laugh through games of ’’Amoeba and ’’Invasion of the body snatchers , and spend a lot of time getting to know the people with whom they will be working. They return to Burnt Hills the next afternoon, a little sleepy perhaps, but full of new ideas in how to help make the coming year a great one for all of the students. 12
