Nettie Belle Parsons, Arlene Widler, Fvelvr N r gs and Joe Stuoky were five of the children among has group a Simpson was the pilot and under her leadership all the children soon fel quite at home in their new surroundings They sailed haooilv along ln a gay, carefree manner and soon arrived at Vacation Island When they again embarked Miss Pencrietta Heyman was at the helm Al thoubh the current was swifter non they till had time for some play They even joined with the show Boat to nut on an operetta, HThe Toys That Had To Wait H They s fely ended their econd lap at Summer I land Here they chenyed boats as well s pilots His Cecilia Pirott was their able nav1gator.e the two sucoes ive cruises Sev ral of the child morning, some time later, they sighted a row boat coming toward them I it was Robert Mo gan who wanted to Join the BGB Eager hands helped him aboard, for extra help wa badly reeded to fnght the arithmetic SHHTKS which had recently attacked them lrynng to escape them, they ran into a geograph sand bar whore th y would have become stuck if their pilot had not carefully steered them thrrugh When they arrived at the pler, their third boat was waiting to carry them forward on their voyage After a brief re t,they set sail again wath Miss helen Farrar at the wheel A few of the passeng rs on board decided to get some musical instruments so that they could serenade their fellow passengers The extra noise was ra+her tiring so they docked their vessel at Rest Island for three months When they re embarked, Mrs Fred Ammeter took over their leadership They found that the river was getting wider now andthat the current was much swaftrr In p1te of a few peisng qudls and some treacherous English quick and, they reached their harbor safely, From here on they had to all in a larger boat When they were read to start, several new passengers walked up the gang plank They were Mar gorie Manka, Charles Wyss, and John Ies , along with the pilot, Miss Lois Betts Now theyfbund their going harder even theugh their speed seemed to be increasinc They might even have wrecked their boason several dangerous half surmerged rocks of science had nottheir lookout been on the alert and sounded a warning The group now felt more like seasoned seamen and were proud of the fact that they could join enior band, Y Teens or H1 Ytand be charter members of FHA when it was time for the second half of this cruise, the passengers learned thatthe former pilot had embarked on the Sea of Matrimony and that they were to have the pleasure of rewelcoming a former pilot, Mrs Fred Ammeter Under her leadersh1p,the group completed the Eighth Grade Cruise among the Isles of Smaller Learning When they had gone about midway on this excursion they were hailed by someone in a skiff To everyone'sjoy it was none other than Arlene Widler. She had been on several other boats but preferred the BGB above them all and so she ca e back to sail on with her former classmates. Whenthe crew docked on the shores of Eight Grade Grad- uation,the gourp decided to entertain the natives.
