Wright Barbara Ybarra Raymond Ybarra Farewell My Friend We grow, we seek, we learn, but for now we pause to celebrate. With this celebration comes laughter with the laughter, tears and goodbyes. So through these tears l say goodbye, my friend, in hopes that paths might soon cross again. lf by chance we should meet on the lonely roads we travel, perhaps we m pause to remember all the good times of days already passed. But, to remember brings tears along with joy to think back on the hard times we've weathered together, the sadness of watching people come . go, the grief of losing a close friend. But then to think of just a few of the good times is enough to lighten darkness of all the bad times. The day we've waited for and worked so hard for is finally here. lt is a day of great joy in our complishments, yet a day of sadness, for we must now say goodbye. Keep me in your memory, as l will k you in mine. Farewell, my friend. God be with you. Jody Horn WANTED. . . 81 B.H.S. 'V The Faces B.I-I.S. U Having trouble? LM.. '? They went that way! During the year, members participated in Harvest Festival ac- tivities, in addition to performances. The class performed classic scenes for selected English classes early in the year, and wrap- ped up the Fall semester with a 3-play One Act Play Festival. Plays performed included Nobody Sleeps, The Still Alarm, and Sunday Costs Five Pesos which was per- formed for the whole school. Spring found the Drama class hard at work on their Con- test Play, Chamber Music. The production won the District OAP Contest and went on to Area Competition in Cisco. In District Co- quinna Dunn was awarded All-Star Cast, and Susan Highsmith and Jody Hornsby were given Honorable Mentions. Coquinna Dunn was awarded Best Actress at the Area meet. Shannon Wright and Jody Hornsby were named as All-Star Cast members, and Bren- da Austin and Melissa Masters received Honorable Mentions. Soon after, the Drama class moved on to A Mid-Summer Nights Dream, to be given as the end of the year presentation. lhfBI'h8fi0h3l I hBSPi8h Society fDoubIe Honorsjg Gabby Pridgeon fHonorsJg Roscoe Scottg Johnny Mata: Shannon Wrightg Melissa Mastersg Coquinna Dunn New Hhfh Fi k BCIAIL Wlk Susan ig smi gGeorge amseyg Mi eLeggg ren a us ing onnie i es. i Front Row: J. The spelling contest requires not only a good memory but also exactness in both spelling and cursive writing. Creativity and organizational ability are necessary for ready writing and journalism. Those interested in science must spend time reading extensively in the fields of biology, chemistry, and physics. involvement in the contests requires a commitment to in- dividual improvement and a goal of excellence in one's area of J it interest. Every student who actively prepares for and par- ticipates in the tournaments and the district contests profits T 2 from the competition and the experience.
