Instead of being in a district, the Dogs were placed in a zone in which they played Marble Falls and Westlake. The Dogs won the zone and went on to play the Elgin Wildcats for District. There were to be two-out-of- thiee games between the teams to decide who was to go on to Bi-District. The first game the Bulldogs hosted and they were decisively beaten by the Wildcats, 7-4. The next game, the Bulldogs traveled to Elgin where they were nar- rowly beaten 4-3. Thus the District title went to Elgin. The Bulldog Baseballers put up a fantastic showing and should be well congratulated for a fine season. AT- AWAY-TO-GO! Named to the ALL-DISTRICT WEST ZONE were Pitcher - Arthur Felan; Catcher - Kelly Slay- ton; Infielders - Mike York and Doak Field; Outfielder - Greg Collins. — Kelly Slayton makes his way around third to come across the plate for another run for the Dogs.
