Class Of 1979 Front (1-R) Cindy Miller, Vice-President; Vince DiTanna, President; Back (1-r) Mrs. A. Homer, Advisor; Caryl Bjorseth, Treasurer; Donna Eichmann, Secretary; Mr. E. Saunders, Advisor Since freshman year the Class of 1979 has made ev- ery effort to promote school spirit and be the 1 'most spirited class'1 to enter the halls of B.T.H.S. In our freshman year 1 'spirit week'' gave us the op- portunity to put forth our class effort to show spirit by being the first freshman class ever to win the hall competition and spirit stick at the pep rally. Having decided by the middle of the year to make our senior trip one to Disney World, we began in earnest to raise money. We became a class that was to be on skates for the next four years. Skating par- ties helped us to raise monies to achieve our goals. Planning for the future, we made selling metal So- cial Security plates our big money maker for the year. Our sophomore year, again working together as a class, we won the hall competition and entered the Flintstones as our class float. AS a class we found spirit week a great uniting force for us. Skating parties continued to help us earn money and our Florida dream was picked up by the Class of '78. In our junior year we were very anxious to give a ' 'super'' prom. Popcorn decanters helped us to obtain the money to do so. Using our profits, we were able to have a sit-down prime rib dinner and add brandy snifters and key rings to our list of prom favors at the expense of the class. Beach towels with the school Falcon was our meth- od of keeping the ' 'Falcon ' in mind over the sum- mer months. Having won the hall competition for the third year as well as the float and spirit days, we gained the reputation of having a most spirited class. We attribute this success to our class' attitude to- ward each other, which has always been to work to- gether, thus eliminating clique competition. After all of our spirit week competitions we have always partied together in celebration and made plans for our next event. Voted the most spirited overall by accumulating the most points during Homecoming Week, and winning our fourth straight hall, our class continued its win- ning ways in our senior year. Fund raising activities enabled many of our seniors to help defray the cost of our trip to Florida. The compliment of which we are most proud is that made by our underclassmen who have said that our class' spirit has inspired them to reach for higher goals. For four years we were very fortunate to have strong class officers who were willing to spend a great deal of time being good leaders and encouraging the class to succeed.
