THANKS, MR. COSTELLO, FOR MANY YEARS OF SERVICE, DEDICATION AND LOYALTY. Times are changing as they never changed before, and the '90's will bring even greater changes. With these changes we will have a greater diversi- ty of opinions as to how to resolve the problems which will occur. Every resource of thought must be searched for good solutions. Educating all of our people is the most important contributor to resolving these complex problems. Upon you, the graduates of the '80's, will fall much of the task of resolving and adjusting to a new world. Make sure that your preparation is sound, your motives are sincere, and logic is your guide. With these objec- tives in mind, I am certain that you can, and will, create a better society than the one you have found. Congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 1983. R.A. Costello, Principal Vice-Principal - Teacher evaluation Daniel J. Martin Curriculum improvement Vice-Principal - Disciplinarian Rollin Cunningham Athletic Director 17

During the past twelve years you have demon- strated, to your administrators and teachers, that you possess the ability and knowledge necessary to be successful in the future. It won't be an easy road to follow, but worthwhile accomplishments are rarely acquired without effort and dedication. As you leave your Alma Mater, you may do so with the assurance that you are well prepared to face life's many road blocks and challenges. Whether or not you become a responsible mem- ber of society will depend entirely upon you and how willing you are to continue working and learning on a daily basis. The members of the Board of Education join me in wishing each of you continued success in all your endeavors. Dr. C. Joseph Martin, Superintendent Burlington City Public Schools
