ADMINISTRATION You are graduating at the time that our nation is celebrating its two hundredth birthday. You, the Class of 1976, are our Bicentennial Class. Our country has made great progress since 1776. Although it has encountered many seemingly impossible problems; wars, foreign and domestic strife, economic troubles, environmental pollution, crime and urban blight, our nation has continued to move ahead. Many of our citizens, using education and hard work, helped to resolve, or mitigate, the complex problems which have tested us during these past 200 years. Trained minds and working hands are still assets that you can offer to help your country, and yourself, in the years ahead. For those graduates who are going directly into a career; remember that you have the responsibility of doing your best and taking pride in your work. For those who are going on with their education; remember that you have the responsi- bility of doing your best to develop your capabilities to their fullest potential. As the United States of America enters its third century, I am confident that your education has given you the foun- dation for living, working, learning and building in a democratic nation. My sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 1976. Raymond A.
