This year's Heirloom cover design is the Burlington City Bicentennial Symbol. This bicentennial logograph was the inspiration of architect William Wolfe. It commemorates two hundred years of our Nation and reminds us of the important role Burlington City played as the crossroads of this emerging nation. Burlington City High School would like to express its thank to Mr. Wolfe for allowing us to use his design as the 1976 Heirloom Theme.

To RUTH DINSMORE From the Class of 1976 In any school organization, some people perform best in the forefront: meet- ing the public, chairing meetings and promoting activities. However, the back- bone of an organization is the people who work behind the scenes: originating the activities, making the arrangements, and attending to details. This year we are recognizing a woman who has worked exceptionally hard behind the scenes. As a class sponsor she has not only fulfilled her basic obligations but has gone beyond to provide guidance, encouragement, and friendship to the students of the class of 1976. As a home economics teacher, she has not only given her students training in cooking, sewing, and homemaking, but she has also directed them in many worthwhile and rewarding social activities, including preparation for the Interna- tional Dinners, providing holiday baked goods for various children's and old aged homes, and costumes for school plays. The Burlington City High School Class of 1976 has been fortunate to have a sponsor who so selflessly has given of her time and effort. Therefore, we are proud to dedicate the Bicentennial editon of the Heirloom to Mrs. Ruth Dins- more. 18
