As the curtain rose on our sophomore year, we were uncertain, undecided about many things. Since that time, however, ir many factors have aided in making us more mature young people with definite plans for the future. Classes, teachers, and counselors have all played their parts. Our play has had variety, and we've had wonderful times together at class parties, Homecoming, sporting events and many other activities. Before the curtain falls, one scene is yet to be enacted ..... graduation. From here. as the lights dim, we will enter onto a new, wider stage ..... the stage of life. May each of you find great success there! N 'Um X Dr. Millard Z. Pond I I Of Um ? ' Executive director of this production is Dr. Millard Z. Pond, Superintendent of the Burlington school system. Mrs. Savage is the main character, an old lady with a halt smile, giving an appearance ot mirth and determination. Florence is a very gentle woman with a sweet and tremulous smile and is inclined to be elegant. Hannibal thinks he is a great musician but really isn't. A sweet girl with a gay and somewhat mischievous nature describes Fairy Mae. Ieftrey is a very serious good looking man, Mrs. Paddy hates almost everything and believes she is a very good artist, and Lillie Belle is a very self-assured Woman of about 40. Qwzyloand an The Wrestling team this year did not make as good a record as it might have, but it produced several champions. Lee Davis, Dave Sheldon, Bill Knight, and Tom Iones were Little-Six Champs. Under the leadership ot Mr. Lyle Ebner, the team wrestled several very fine meets. Many of the wrestling meets which they lost were lost only by a few points. Honorary co-captains for the season were lim Tate and Dave Sheldon. Since only two seniors wrestled consistently with the squad this year, next years outlook is brighter. Bow 1-Lonny Heater, Fred Furnald, Iohn Logan, Don Nelson, Craig Bradford, and Bud Fritzche. Row 2 -Denny Darrah, Terry Guy, Iack Easton, Gene Snowden. lohn Roth, Gerald Thompson, Mike Prez. Row 3-Assistant Coach Ken Schmoker, Gene Wright, Gary Davis, Lee Davis, Richard Tinder, Norman Wilson, lim Tate, Ronnie Fitzgerald, Dave Sheldon, and Steve Schuneman. Not pictured are Tom Iones, Bill Knight, and Eddie Butler. The Bar Squad, under the super vision of Coach Carl Iohannsen made several appearances. A well as the many grade school ap pearances which they made, they also presented assemblies for both Horace Mann and Oak Street Vowlezzfo adn! ' ' Ablard. Camille Sue.
