THE BAND One of the outstanding organizations of the school is the BHS band under the direction of Mr. Maurice Wright. The season begins with the football games at which the band plays and marches. The pep band also enlivens our pep assemblies with their school spirit songs. No parade would be complete without the music of the band, the members of which proudly wore their new uniforms of purple and gray. After football season ends, the band starts again by appearing at all the basketball games. A pre- view of the band concert was given to the mem- bers of BHS the week before the annual band concert which was held March l2 in the Me- morial Auditorium. Soloist this year was Mr. Dale Kimpton of Macomb, Illinois. Their season ended with the trip to Davenport for the Music Festival. ZAR. MAURICE 'JIFIGHT Zbcmd
