Presented on the nights of May lst and 3rd, under the able direction of Mr. Vtlilliam Kneur, the play proved to be a huge success. -zu f lf' t .Wt it X P31 - 3 L .gif if ft 'fe 4- 11 ,, ., .. . 'L If There were no leads in the play as there were ten members of the cast whose roles were displayed. Making the play unusual and different was the fact that certain acts followed the preceding one without any interruption of the actors' facial expressions or body movements. This farce was really a three ring circus because there was never a dull moment during the entire presentation. The whole action of the play centers around the living roorn and the setting is rustic as well as modernistic in design. The play was very fast moving because of the large number of exits and entrances. The cast of characters included Sylvia Weinrich, Marilyn Hathaway, lane McMonfgle, Norma Thie, Don Krekel, lack Gustafson, Richard Warming, Stuart Reed, Elma Stern and lda Mae Koestner. Acting as assistant directors were Bonnie Binder and Bob Wilson, who together with Mr. Kneur, turned the Senior Class play into an outstanding success. MB. Vkfinning first place in the float contest, were the Hypatias, whose name was placed on the trophy. That night, the festivities really began. The waterfront was the scene of the annual bonfire, presided cver by the CDC s. Following this, was the snake- dazuce through the downtown streets, led off by the cheerleaders. Nothing could have been more exciting and successful than the big Home- coming game with our arch football enemy, Qttumwa. Even more fulfilling was the fact that our team won the victory 20-6. At half-time came the most exciting event of the eveningethe crowning of Queen Mimi Carspecken as 1951 Homecoming Queen and her two attendants, Rose Ann Wieman and Martha Breuer by last year's queen, Rena Timmerman. Acting as escorts lor the royal trio were Don Krekel, Al Guegler, and Dick Warming. Bringing the day's festivities to a final close was the Homecoming dance at Clark Fieldhouse. Reigning over the affair was Queen Mimi and her two royal attendants, Martha and Rosie.
