We Dedicate Our Book to . Mrs Louise Casper, secretary to Principal Urban I-larken and registrar for the highschool and junior college. Actually, Mrs. Casper's duties are not limited to those uzsually listed. She performs a number of other tasks such as record keeping and tho banking for the entire school. Yet her efforts are seldom publicly acknowledged. In her little spare tirne, Mrs. Casper likes to participate in outdoor activities. Ono of her favorite pastimes is golf. She also enjoys hunting and fishing. We are honored to dedicate our book to you, Mrs. Casper.

Our Memories . . . Soft, thudding feet are slowly keeping time to the strains of our school song as we march along, together for the last time, on this-our graduation day. lust three years ago, these same feet were timidly entering the corridors of Burlington High School. Our steps became more confident and self-assured after we had elected our first student council representatives, for this gave us a new feeling of belonging at the school. Our junior high days seemed even more distant by the time we had experi- enced our first high school Homecoming. As the weeks and months passed, we became more involved in the regular school activities. There were club initiations, formals and plays in which many of us partici- pated. ln the spring there were concerts and the trip to Dubuque for the annual music festival thrilled many of us. Climaxing our Sophomore year was the Ten Honor Point Banquet. A big event of our Iunior year was our class party, the first one planned by our own class officers. Then came our class play, Peg O' My Heart , well-remembered by all of us. We finished the year with the usual flurry of concerts, lormals, and ban- quets. Our Senior year, marked by such happenings as our class party, the winning of the Little Six Championship in football and our class play, passed all too quickly. One of our classmates 'fdistinguished himself by writing the Words to a school alma mater song, The Ser1ior'banquet and Baccalaureate services highlighted our last week of school. Now, at graduation time, we must assume new burdens and turn our steps from our well worn paths to explore new trails. . THE EDITOR. I
