Noted for her originality and clever antics, she also has a more serirus side to her nature. Aside from being elected sophomore king, Junior class president and vice-president, Dick really made a name for himself by his work in the music field. He held main parts in the two operettas, and sang solos for school activities. Although he hadn't gone out for dramatics before his senior year he showed the public his talent in his excellent acting as the lead in the Senior Class Play, You Can't Take It VVith You. Dick deservedly was elected one of the most outstanding boys in the class and because oi his ambition, his magnetic personality, we believe he'll go tar in the voyage of lite. Fame didn't reach Kenny Petersen until his senior year in which he really showed his ability to handle any situation that happened to come up. Being elected to the student council and being a member ot the P5-G ad staff helped him to exercise this valuable trait. l-le was elected senior class president for both semesters and the way he handled these positions proved to his follow class-mates his kusiness-like ability and his dependability. Kenny hardly ever had a moment to spare. l-le was always rushing around attend- ing to some matter that someone had forgotten. He really deserves a lot of credit for his work toward promoting senior class activities. Completing the six whitecaps is Dick Wisch- rneier. Draniatics, debate, declamation fall took a large part in Dii:k's spare time. ln his sophof more year he was elected to the student council and also showed promises in debate and dra- matics. But Dif.:k's outstanding achievement came in his senicr year in which he won the state cratorical contest which enabled him to go to the regional meet at Kansas City. He also was one of the big four in the debate class. One could gc do:-.rn the line mentioning other honors which he has won but people who know Dick can understand why he has gone as far as he has. ! Ann Schurman was cast in the leadinq role in the Iunior class play, Pea O' My Heart . Ann played the part of Pea , a motherless Irish child, who, having been raised in America by her lrish father, was later sent to live with her cousins in England. Here, with her rela- tives, the Chickchesters, she is very frank, and often embarras- singly so. The whole household seems to be entirely upset by Pea s unusual dress and actions but through her friendship with lerry her whole attitude is rhanqed Miss Brink hacked up the cast cf the lunizr class play with patience and deliberation. f Dick Cloyed played the roman- tic lead of Peg O' My Heart . Dick portrayed the part of lerry, a tall athletic, broad-shouldered youth. ferry has a decisive man- ner, is wealthy, and very well- educated. After talking to Pea, lerry is very much attracted to her, and later they fall in love, PEG O MY HEART W Anderson K Barker R Ccyed N V rnielsan E Q cy G Schramm A Schurinm L-r .. .,.1 ,l..f f l.
