SCI-IDOL CALENDAR A U 25 Student's enroll for classes. Guess what! We're all back. G 26 Election of Class officers. May the best man lose. U E UI, 29 Seniors selected their class play, The Perfect Idiot . S IJ 0 d h ' ' . 3 Starte avmg Play Practice T sawn K-To' BAC S 8 School was let out because of hot weather. Finally we got one day of peace. E 12 Seniors set the date to have their pictures taken. Be prepared. P 14 Seniors ordered invitations-- The more invitations, the more pre- T sents . E 20 gl 22 Half of the Seniors had their pictures taken, other half sold ads. K M R J High school elected Cheerleaders ,J anelle,Tom ,Wanda, and Marlene. B 1 We had our first fire drill for the year. Too bad there wasn't a fire. E Freshmen ordered their jackets, which are black and white. 6 Seniors got out to sell more ads. No comment. 9 gl 30 Senior Play. Congratulations for your success. 3 Eric and Philip were called to the office for some flat tires. Better luck next year, boys! 8 Sunshine girls went to Merriville for a Convention. 12 Everyone got their first six weekspay checks. 14 The 7th grade and the Sophomores had their class party. 17 Sunshine had their formal initation. It would be best if you unlock the church early next year. O 17,18, 8: 19 The Seniors hadadebate in Government over politics. Choose C Your side. T 21 The Freshmen had their Class Party. 0 26 Junior Class had their class party out at Langstons. The Latin Club B had initation for new members. E 27 Seniors had their class party at Ruth Wise's. Remember the hayride. R 27 gl 29 Teachers Institute--they needed help! 31 Halloween parade by the grade children. N 1 Burlington Cubs win their opening basketball game defeating Tipton 0 Twp. 68-53. V 3 High school had a film on safety. , E 7 The school had a mock election with Nixon winning. M 8 The Cubs win again against Colfax 75-53. B 9 Grades 7 through 12 broke the Camera. ' 'T' E 10 Band sponsored a skating party. Who showed up? I M R 11 No school. 14 Seniors received their name cards. 15 The Cubs beat poor little Young America 68-21. 16 8z 17 County HealthNurse showed a film in gym. Why couldn't we see it together? 18 Cubs rolled to their fourth win of the season by beating Little Jeff 80-64. 22 The Polar Cubs kept their winning streak by defeating the Lucerne Lions 48-46 a real thriller . 23 School dismissed at 11:00 for Thanksgiving vacation. Don't eattoo much turkey! The Senior boys also went to get the Christmas trees. 28 The Jr. High and High School received their individual pictures. Do I get one? 30 Ye olde misery- -cards came out again today-No comments necessary.

1960-61 Boy, if that isn't an intelligent look. Aw--come on Jim--Will you please give me back my seat? I can'ttell for sure which they are takingoff--the black or the white. The Seniors gather round the Christmas tree at noon and chatter away. E It looks as if they have discovered a third way Hey Ron- - -whatcha doin' '?

Sophomores got their class rings. Wonder where they are now? The Cubs six game win streak was brought to a halt when Jackson Twp. beat them 69-61. 4-H had their Christmas party. Freshmen got their jackets and were able to wear them to the ball game between the Cubs and Young America Yanks. The Cubs won its seventh in 8 games 80-52. Seniors decorated the Christmas tree in the assembly. The Cubs were surprised at Galveston as they lost their second 54-53. No heat at school, so the coats came in handy. Senior program and gift exchange. The Christmas vacation began and the Sunshine delivered the Cheer baskets around town. C E M B E R J NEW U A g2 HAPPY R Y EAR School again. The Student body learns that Miss Wildermuth is en- gaged. Too bad Freshmen! Pictures for the annual were taken. Another loss for the Cubs as Little Jeff defeats them 65 -57. Prairie bombarding from all angles defeated the Cubs 84-55. End of the Semester. Is everyone prepared? No school. School again and those old cards were passed out. One of the best games of the season was played as Burlington played Jefferson Twp. Jefferson came out on top though 56-55. The Cubs played Mulberry and won 74-58. Got to watch the inaugura- tion of the new President on television. Junior's selected their class play, It's a Great Life . Miss Stine came back after being out five days. Hope she knows where DRIVE is now. Ha! Ha! The Cubs played Washington Twp. and lost 68-62. Junior play tryouts--Good Luck. Our last home game for the year was played against Idaville and we lost 49-44. The basketball players and parents enjoyed a chili sup- per. Band solo and ensemble contest at Monon. Mr. Wise passed out the awards from the contest. Teachers meeting to make new laws. Last day for enjoyment, so en- joy it while it lasts. Mr . Ballard called the Seniors together to warn them of the new rules . Played Mulberry a real good game and we won '78-48, keep up the good work, boys. The whole student body was informed of the new regulations. The cops are on duty, so be careful. Seniors got their invitations. 6 F A F T E B R U A R 14 Burlington plays Windfall. Sure do hope they will be our Valentine. Lost 52-50. 17 The Cubs met up with East Tipp. 8 The State Solo and Ensemble Contest at Butler. Many students went Y to Purdue. 23,24 , Sz 25 Sectional tournament at Kokomo. 24 The end of the 4th grading period. 6 Junior and Senior Prom L Q M 7 Baccalaureate A 8 Commencement Y 13 SCHOOL OUT l!! 71
