Sdicetion | ee : Mu Kueh dui Auth hun iid RUEME UNHEE: SPATES ENOUMEg The Senior Class is pleased and honored to have Mr. Loukas as a class advisor and friend. When he arrived at Burlington High School three years ago, we, the students, were going through a period of adjustment as we were entering the new high school; our surroundings were strange and unfamiliar. The previous unity and closeness of our class seemed to be dissolved. Because of this, school spirit and cooperation were low. Mr. Loukas, recognizing our need of guidance and assistance, rallied to our cause. He began with the Student Council. It was given a greater importance in school activities. He became especially interested in our class and was made our class advisor. Without his help, understanding, patience and influence we would never have been successful in many of our endeavors. We, therefore, dedicate this yearbook to him, who has devoted much time and effort in our behalf.

Pe As gradua- tion day approaches, each of us, as members of the Class of 1964, is viewing it with mixed emotions — happy with the thoughts of future prospects, and bewildered as we think of decisions we must make. The future will reflect these last three years, and it will be up to us to show that we have used them well. Our high school has offered us the opportunities to prepare ourselves, and it was up to us to take advantage of these offerings. We must be able to use the education and guidance that have been given to us if we are to make the right decision, according to our own beliefs. We hope that this year’s ARROWHEAD will be a remembrance of your Senior year, and that in the future it will remind each student of some special days at itiieliny

i HKespectful Jribte John Hitzgerald Kennedy In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility; I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it, and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.
