uri ' lm ' HEALTH OCCUPATIO This course deals with the orientation of students to health related occupations. In the beginning of the year the students are taught the basic fundamentals of nursing needed to function in Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Day Care Centers, and even to assist them in the general field of motherhood. The students go to Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and Day Care Centers in the community weekly for practical experi- ence. As for the completion of this course, the students will be able to apply for jobs in the many health related occupa- tional fields and feel confident in themselves that they know what they are doing. Therefore, the nurses aide shares, to some extent, in the actual care of patients. She may answer their calls, feed and assist them in bathing, adjust the bed, straighten the room for the night, or undertake any one of a number of other tasks which, though simple, are very important to the patientis comfort. Her duties and responsibilities will vary from hospital to hospital, depending on the size of the hospital and the types of auxiliary workers it employs. 3 E a it me L2 , i is if

In the beginning of the year the students are taught the basic fundamentals of food preparation. The students Will be involved in making salads, soups, sandwiches, hors d'oeuvres, and the preparation of main dishes. Areas of study will also include the maintenance of public dining areas, serving, replenishing supplies, and other variousjobs related to the food industry.
