Here, every absence is systematically reported, checked, and approved or disapproved according to the judg- ment of its head, Mrs. Marion Suhr ia gentle lady disarming in appearance, but the possessor of a phenomenal memoryl. Each illness is re' ported to the State Board, and a complete record of each studentls absence is kept on file. lt might seem that all would run smoothly, but such is not always the case.
