YVONNE YATES Annual Staff 4 F.H.A. l,2,3,4 F.H.A. Program Chairman 4 Pep Squad 3,4 Pep Squad Rules Committee Cl ss Prophecy The footprints of time have carried me down to the gym of Burleson High School, in the spring of 1968, where the Seniors of T958 were having their class reunion. The first person to greet me at the door was Billy Jack Owens, his wife Joy, and their three sets of twin boys. He is now the auctioneer of the large cattle barn in Egan. I went over to the snack bar and who else should I see but Johnnie Ruth Stone, who is now Mrs. Lynn Hoffman, and she works as the chief taster at Mrs. Baird's Bakery in Crowley, Texas. Sitting next to her was Patricia Key, who was married when I knew her in the senior class. She is gust a housewife, and has her hands full taking care of her eight girls. The two were giggling and eating as usual. Who else would have come up behind me and hit me on the back, but Janan Grisso, who is now Mrs, H, W, McLain. She had to take a fast canoe home from Europe, where she lives on the navy base. Jimmy Keen and his wife, the former Miss Carole Moore, flew in from Chicago where he is a college mathematics pro- fessor. Lynda Jordan walked in still dressed in her nurse's unie form. She works on the night shift at the Burleson Veterina- rian Hospital and had to leave right away. I found out Sue Wynne Mouser had worked her way up from a waitress to the head cook in the Milky Way. Yvonne Yates strolled in, and when I asked what her present profession was, she replied, I haven't made up my mind yet what I want to do! The next person I sow was Tim Kenney, He is still attends ing the largest college in Johnson County, and is studying about a new, quick, and economical way to catch chickens. Jeannie Kennemer, after waiting ten years, will become Mrs. David Levey Saturday night. She has been working for the General Store at Oak Grove as a bookkeeper. I walked past the window to see none other than the famous Jerry Hale, who is now building the worlds fastest hot-rod that is equipped to run on fumes. As l listened I heard the piano music of the famous Miss Nancy Rogers, who is featured nightly at the Burleson Green Door Night Club. Caroie June Hathcock came in alone. She told me she was now a receptionist in the Lillian Funeral Home and was still trying to land a husband. Linda Wicker was the next person I saw. We were talk- ing about the year she was Homecoming Queen, and she said that she has since won another title - Queen of the Piggly Wiggly Chain Stores. Dub Green and Husney Salem were having a little poker game over in the corner. Husney is now the head drummer at the 'Breen Door. Dub is the sole owner of Texas' largest goat ranch, Dana Watkins couIdn't be there in person, but we turned on the television, and she was on Channel T55 - a show featuring the National Debating Team. Billy Johnson is now going to the microphone to tell how he advanced from the position of grocery-carrier to principal of the Burleson Kindergarten. The next speaker was Betty Powell. She explained how to raise three kids, 20 cats and still keep your husband in a good humor. Wanda Selman was seen milling through the crowd, try- ing to sell some of her Fuller Brush Products. All of a sudden I heard a tremendously loud noise out- side the building. Everyone was very disappointed to learn that it was only Melba Moore trying to come to a stop in her newly painted '49 Ford! She is now Secretary to the President. The evening was highly enlightening, and as I left the re- union, I said to myself, Hope my footprints lead me here again in another ten years,
