emor Class History Many of this years seniors started to Burleson school in the first grade These students are Rolly Mnllurons Judy Scott Kenneth Roddy Margie Shuler Beverlee Green Joanna Hurry Yvonne Spears Shirley Truelove Joyce Lough Jimmy Jo Richardson Preston Smith Carolyn McAlnster and Roy Mercer Jr Janice Graham from Fort Worth loined us in the Fifth Grade Connie West from Fort Worth Joe Green from Bethesda and Ronald John son from Lillian came in the Sixth Grade ln the Seventh Grade we were lolned by Ross Shlppey and Bobby Shrop shire both from Fort Worth Next to loin our class were Jesse Capps and Suzanne Tackett from Fort Worth and Joe Osburn from Alvarado in the Eighth Grade C B Fincher from Fort Worth came to Burleson In the Ninth Grade G dPat Logan and Jane Foster from Fort Worth entered our class in the Tenth ra e Last but not least Lynn Hoffman from Crowley and Loretta Jackson from Fort Worth louned our class in the Eleventh Grade This completed the SENIOR CLASS OF 1956 Senior Class Prophecy It is now 1966 exactly 10 years since we Seniors of 1956 graduated As I come In the door of the gym where we are going to have a reunion Beverlee Green, Ronald Johnson, and Jimmy Jo Richardson rush to greet me Beverlee IS mayor of the second largest town in Texas Venus Ronald is sheriff of Burleson which is the largest metropolis in the Southwest Jimmy Jo tells me he owns the only Drive In Wrecking Yard in Burleson Just then I turn around to see Kenneth Roddy coming in the door with some dark figures sllnklng in behind hum It seems Kenneth is a foreign diplomat and those dark figures and their sux little exotlcs Joanna Hurry instructor of Drivers Education calls me over to the concession stand I see Margie Shuler a lady wrestler showmg Roy Mercer, a bronc rider and Jane Foster TV comedienne a few tricks of the trade Over there I also see Ross Shlppey Burlesons dog catcher Yvonne Spears, author and illustrator of HOW TO PASS BOOKKEEPING and Connie West professor of Education In a local college They are listening to Bobby Shropshire tell about his achievements as the star player of a professional basketball team In the door now comes Shirley Truelove Timmons bemg fol lowed by Garland and their eight children They are the best tent makers in Texas With them are Lynn and Johnnie Hoffman Lynn is the owner of a large chain of service stations All of a sudden a loud commotion is heard outside Carolyn McAllster Johnson Igloo builder in Alaska Joyce Lough tra peze artist Loretta Jackson fashion consultant and Pat Logan minister rush to see what is happening In the door storm Joe and Judy Osburn missionaries in Africa with their four little cannibals Behind come Rolly Mlllirons and C B Fincher the terrors of the crap tables in Hollywood Joe Green auctuoneer and Preston Smith, who owns a gum plantation are ushermg Jesse Capps in the door Jesse is owner of the TWO COUNTRY BOYS and is an artist in his spare time for his six children Last to come in the door is Janice Graham, famous singer This completes our reunion in 1966 0 C ' I ' u s : I 1 1 1 I 1 1 .
