The Starlight theme was reflected in the decorations of the tables and the overhead of the banquet and reception halls. The head table was impressive with purple hydrangeas, star centerpiece, blue tapers in crys- tal star holders, clusters of large blue ballons, mence covers and napkins designed in blue, a wagon hitched toa star, plate favors of miniature blue wagons trimmed in silver, filled with pea- nuts and drawn by a star, and place cards designed in blue, an astronomer gazing throughatele- scope at a star. All other tables were lkiewise decorated except for the flowers. The scene was made more interesting with the tables covered with white covers and blue and white runners extending down the centers. A canopy over the tables, being formed by drawing streamers together in the center with glittering stars twinkling beneath, over which a mellow rnoon cast its glow, presented a charming setting for the program. The lunch room officials provided the delicious food, oonsisting of tomato juice cocktail, creamed chicken, peas, mashed potatoes, relish, vegetable salad, butter, rolls, ice cream, cake, and tea. The sophomore girls, under the direction of Mrs. Jabie Effinger, efficiently served the tables and enhanced the scene by wearing blue skirts, white blouses, dainty white aprons, and caps. The guest list included everyone connected with the school personnel and administration of the school affairs and many special guests. One hundred and thirty-four persons were arranged for, .gg Q . ima cm L,e em. n '7 - 7 1 f, 'f f 4 U . . ,, . ll 1 ., , . E ri' I lui, I . . . .
