This year, the staff has added two more such honors to the lisr already compiled. The Basketball Teams, under the direction of Coach J.E. Milstead, began their training in October, 1953. J.T. Fur low was appointed as manager. The teams had a fairly successful year, winning two trophies and having two players elected to the all-district teams and three to all- tournament teams. There were twenty jackets and one blanket issued at the end of the Year and three gold basketballs. The teams are as follows; GIRLS FORWARDS: Zenna Smith. Captain; Winifred Rudd; Bobble Sue Smith, Rita Ozment. GUARDS: Margaret Gasway, Co-Captain; Velgh Dickerson, Venice Brack, Helen Erzen, Deniece Medley, Jeanette Medley.
