As graduation time rolls around again we realize that it is no longer just another year completed, but our last. Looking back over the past four years we can’t help but feel both joy and sorrow at the same time. We have had a very prosperous and active school life. On a sunny September morning of 1960 we entered our first year of high school. We elected as officers: President, Steve Mullins; Vice President, Larry Cox; Secretary, Diana Patterson; Treasurer, Peggy Brown. Rita Roberts was Student Council representative, and our cheerleaders were Peggy Brown and Diana Patterson. Our sponsor was Mrs. Goldie Lewis, Jr. Our Sophomore year we decided to begin earning early for our senior trip, and conducted a coat check at all school activities. Our class officers were; President, Diana Patterson; Vice President, Billy Cheak; Secretary and Treasurer, Peggy Brown; Reporter, Judy Patterson. Our Student Council member was Steve Mullins and cheerleaders were Judy Patterson and Diana Patterson. Mrs. Goldie Lewis, Jr. was again our Sponsor. Our Junior year was one of the biggest and best. We sold candy and cokes at ball games., sold magazines, ordered our class rings, and produced our Junior pi ay , Grandma's Best Years , under the d irec t ion of Miss Margaret Gibson, who was also our sponsor. Our class officers were: Presi- dent, Steve Mullins; Vice President, Rita Roberts; Secretary, Peggy Brown; Treasurer, Diana Patterson; Reporter, Billy Prewitt. Our Student Council members were Steve Mullins and Diana Patterson, and our cheerleaders were Peggy Brown and Diana Patterson. We entered our senior year with twenty-five members. This was a very full year. We enjoyed soliciting ads for our yearbook, having a donkey ball-game, producing our play Cupid in Pigtails under the direction of Mrs. J. W. Langford, and, going on our senior trip to Washington. Our class officers were: President, Steve Mullins; Vice President, Cecil Van Diver; Secretary, Rita Roberts; Treasurer, Peggy Brown; Reporter, Billy Prewitt. Steve Mullins and Diana Patterson represented the class as Student Council members, and Peggy Brown and Diana Patterson as cheerleaders. Our sponsor was Mrs. J. W. Langford. As we prepare for graduation we want ot express our deep appreciation for the understanding and help we have received from our teachers and school. We will always cherish these past four years at B.H.S. as some of the happiest days of our lives. Cecil Van Diver
