3HtBtor The Senior Class Of 1963 is finally ready for graduation. It seems impossible that our twelve years have gone by so quickly. The class has been unusually active in school activi- ties, especially during the four years of high school. Members have played football, basket- ball and pin ball machines. Over the period of four years of high school four of our girls have represented us as cheerleaders. We have been in plays, clubs and trouble. In the autumn of 1959 we entered our first year of high school. Class officers were elected: President, Phyllis Cox; Vice-President, Bobby Cheak; Secretary, Linda Sanders; Treasurer, Juanita Sanders; and Student Council Member, Brent Peavler. Our Sponsor was Mr. Harry Richmond. As Sophomores we were more excited than as Freshmen and we were no longer looked upon as green. Our class officers were: President, Bobby Cheak; Vice-President, Billy Cheak; Secretary, Linda Sanders; Treasurer, Lou Walters; and Student Council Member, Diane Hayslett. Our Sponsor was Mr. Harry Richmond. As Juniors we had a lot of fun all year. We sold magazines, Cokes, and candy at ball games, and ordered our class rings. Our biggest thrill of the year was in producing our play, We Dude It. Class officers elected were: President, Bobby Cheak; Vice-President, Jean Hawkins; Secretary, Linda Sanders; Treasurer, Diane Hayslett; Reporter, Carolyn Kauffman. Student Council Members were: Brent Peavler and Lou Walters. Our Sponsor was Miss Margaret Gibson. We entered our Senior year with seventeen members. We had fun soliciting ads for our yearbook, having a Donkey Ball Game, producing our Senior play, Hillbilly Weddin' , and going on our Senior trip. Senior officers elected were: President, Linda Sanders; Vice-Presi- dent, Carolyn Kauffman; Secretary, Jean Hawkins; Treasurer, Judy Martin. Student Council Members were Lou Walters and Diane Hayslett. Mrs. J. W. Langford was our Sponsor. This concludes our high school years and they have been happy ones. Our class has been an active one and after graduation we will doubtless find as much success as we have had in high school. We, the Class of 1963, bid you farewell. Jean Hawkins Ann West

We, the Senior Class of 1963, being of unsound minds and broken bodies, declare this as our last will and testament: ITEM I. To the Juniors we leave our superiority. ITEM II. To the Sophomores we leave our battered and torn books and hope they last two more years. ITEM III. To the Freshmen we just leave, and wish them the same luck in three years. ITEM IV. LINDA SANDERS leaves her noon meals of bologna sandwiches and pepsi cola to Peggy Gilvin. BILLY HAYSLETT leaves his ability to graduate from Burgin High School to Ernest Nave. LOU WALTERS leaves her first pair of heels to Glenda Wiley. RONNIE DENNY leaves his ability to stay in U. S. History three years to James Reed. WAYNE STINE leaves his ability to have fishing fever to Tommy Freeman. BILLY CHEAK wills his ability to get along with Sherman Camden to Billy Prewitt. CECIL RILEY wills his good behavior to Tommy Morrisey. BOBBY CHEAK wills his ability to play basketball to Cecil Van Diver. PEGGY HORTON wills her naturally blonde hair to Norma Denny. CAROLYN KAUFFMAN wills her ability to flirt to Barbara Bowman, so she can keep up with Billy. SUE WOOSLEY wills her freckle cream to David Cheak. ANN WEST wills her wild giggle to Wanda McQueary. JEAN HAWKINS wills her ability to study math to Hollis Hughes. JUDY MARTIN wills her big mouth to Sheila Smith. GEORGE PENIX wills his fast driving to James Helm. BRENT PEAVLER wills his ability to nearly founder in the cafeteria to Jay Van Arsdale. DIANE HAYSLETT leaves her ability to be class leader to her sister, Prissy. Peggy Horton Sue Woosley
